Game of Thrones Season 7 is Coming! 

After “The Winds of Winter” the tenth and final episode of Season 6 where Cersei executes her plan; Arya gets some long awaited revenge; Daenerys sets sail for Westeros while Jon Snow is in the middle of making a difficult decision, the struggle of the Iron Throne continues.

HBO, the home of the most talked about programs on television has announced the air date of the latest episode of Game of Thrones. Season 7 will premiere on July 16, 2017 which is later than the past seasons.

Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have confirmed that this is mainly due to the desire of accurately depicting the weather like winter in Westeros. And for the first time since the fourth season, the production returned to Iceland last January. As a result, season 7 will only have 7 episodes compared to the past 10 episode-seasons.

So after a summer lasting for almost ten years, the words of House Stark have finally have become real. Fans, let the countdown begin… as the “Winter has come.”
